PARL's 20th Annual Pet Walk Rhode Island
On Saturday, September 13, 2008, hundreds of Rhode Islanders and their pets will come together for the Providence Animal Rescue League's (PARL) signature event, Pet Walk Rhode Island. The walk features a scenic and fun 3.5 mile (5K) walk for participants and their dogs through Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI. There will be family fun activities for everyone including pet games and contests, activities for kids, obedience demonstrations, and fabulous raffle prizes!
Celebrating our 20th year, Pet Walk RI has been the pet event to attend in Rhode Island. Your participation will make a tremendous impact on the lives of so many pets that depend on us for kindness, care, and a chance for a new life.
Proceeds from Pet Walk RI support adoption and sheltering services to more than 2,000 animals per year as well as in-school and community-based humane education programs, spay/neuter assistance for low-income families, and emergency pet food distribution throughout the community.
